For parents

You already give allowance. KidPlayMoney makes it teach something.

The problem with cash in a jar

Cash disappears, nobody remembers what was owed, and there is no way to show a 7-year-old what interest is. Kid debit cards solve that by moving real money around, which is more than most families want for little kids.

A ledger, not a bank

KidPlayMoney keeps score. When you hand over $5, you tap minus $5. When it is allowance day, the app adds it. When your kid asks "how much do I have?", the answer is on their screen, in big friendly numbers.

Rules you can tune

  • Allowance amount and cadence (weekly, biweekly, monthly) and the day it lands.
  • A yearly interest rate and a per-period cap so savings grow visibly without getting silly.
  • Chore mode: none, all-or-nothing gating, extra-credit chores, or both. Sample chores by age included.
  • Auto-approve chores or review them yourself.
  • Investing on or off per kid.

Sign-in that fits little kids

You are the only one with a password (email or Google). Kids get a magic link or type your email plus a 4-digit PIN. Siblings can hop between accounts. We deliberately keep the kid side low-friction because no money is at stake.

Built for phones

Everything is designed for a phone held in one hand. Add it to your home screen and it feels like an app. The kid view is bright and big; your view is calm and quick.

What it costs

KidPlayMoney is free while we are getting started.
